The following area requirements are used to estimate area needed:

Stand-up Cocktail                   5-6 sq. ft. per person                Bars or DJ      50-75 sq. ft.    

Seated at Round tables           15 sq. ft. per person                Buffet Tables  75-100 sq. ft.

Seated at Rect. Tables            15 sq. ft. per person                  Gift/Cake Table 50-150 sq.ft.

Dance Area                            3-5 sq. ft. per person,
                                             6-10 sq. ft. per person for ballroom dancing.

Orchestra or Seated Band       12 sq. ft. per member

Rock Band                             36 sq. ft. per member

It is best to ask the band exactly what their space requirements will be.
